I had LASIK Surgery on November 8, 2017. The decision to have LASIK was one of the best I have ever made. I didn't realize how bad my vision was until I could all of a sudden see. My prescription was -7.00 in each eye. The day after the surgery my vision was perfect. I am now two weeks out and still cannot believe how beautiful the world is outside. I know this sounds silly but everything seems so much brighter and clearer. I thought I would explain my experience with LASIK. First, I went for a free consultation with Tennessee LASIK in Knoxville, TN. I highly recommend this office. The nurse took measurements of my eyes to see if I was a candidate for the procedure. After the measurements determined I was a candidate the coordinator came in to explain the surgery to me. She also set me up another appointment for a more detailed eye exam. For this appointment, I had to keep my contacts out for three days. This appointment was like a routine eye exam. The doctor determined my prescription and dilated my eyes. After this appointment, my surgery date was set. On the surgery day, I was given a sedative about 30 minutes before the procedure. I laid on a table with my head under a screen type machine. The procedure took about 5 minutes all together. After the procedure, I was allowed to go home and sleep. The only pain I felt was a little pressure during the procedure and some burning on the way home. By the time I woke up from my nap my eyes felt fine. At my follow up appointment the next day, I had perfect vision. If you are on the fence I would say go for it. My only regret is that I did not have this procedure done sooner. I highly recommend Tennessee LASIK if you are in the East Tennessee area.
